Caucasian mountains
55cm x 80cm
When I began working on this piece, I had no plan. I allowed intuition to guide the process—choosing the colors, shaping the forms, and deciding which tones to blend together.
One element I especially love is the red. I discovered this sharp, vibrant red wool in a market in Tbilisi and immediately fell in love with it once I started using it in the work. Paired with the deep blue, it creates a striking and powerful contrast.
Because of its colors, the patterns remind me of fire, but also of a river moving wildly in many directions. Georgia itself feels wild and untouched to me. The nature is raw and pure. Near our house there is a large canyon, and I often go there to admire the landscape and watch the river flowing through the valley.
