When I lived in Calgary, there was a rock in front of our building that served as a doorstop. It had beautiful formations and colors, and after admiring it every time I entered the building, I eventually decided to borrow it for a little while. I brought it up to my apartment to study its color formations and combinations more closely. What fascinated me most were the patterns created by its segments.
The organic imperfection I see in natural objects often becomes a source of inspiration for me, and this rock was no exception. After a few weeks, I returned it to its place downstairs so that others could see it too—and perhaps discover its beauty in the same way I did.
Inspiration can be found anywhere, at any time.
