Argentina

← Journal Overview

Visiting Argentina was part of a South America trip I took in 2019. I decided to go solo and therefore met many people along the way. Together with a few strangers I had just met at a hostel, we rented a car and drove all the way north, close to the Bolivian border. It was a special area that not many tourists visit.

The buildings in the villages were made of sandstone, all in soft beige tones that blended naturally into the surrounding land. In the main square, colorful textiles with indigenous patterns were sold, and we sat down together to enjoy local dishes made from corn. It was the first time I had seen mountains surrounding a village in such a beautiful spectrum of colors.

At the time of that trip, I never imagined that it would one day become a source of inspiration for my creative work. Because of that, I didn’t take many photos. Yet the memory of the journey has remained vivid in my mind.

The piece I created from this memory is titled Argentina
