Blue is a color I'm often drawn to when beginning a piece. Somehow, it attracts me more than any other color and carries a deep, moving presence. When multiple shades of blue come together, they create a natural fade that reminds me of the flow of water—movement, depth, and clarity.

The piece can be interpreted as a powerful river flowing past rigid rocks. While creating it, I had a specific place in mind that I visited with my mum during New Year’s 2024. At the time I painted it, I was in Ulsan, South Korea—a place I never imagined I would one day visit. But life flows, allowing the unexpected to happen. In a way, it became another testament to the power of flow.

To me, flow is something everyone needs in life, yet it cannot exist without stability. Stability is represented by the rocks along the river—those steady presences in our lives: family members, friends, and loved ones.
